The Davis Cup Finals, also known as the “Men’s World Cup of Tennis,” is a competition that pits the leading tennis countries from around the world against one another in an effort to determine who would reign supreme in the sport.
A team may qualify for the group stages in one of three ways: automatically, depending on their prior performance; via the use of wild cards; or by winning qualifying matches earlier in the year.
After that, countries are assigned to one of four groups, and the best teams from each group advance to the knockout Finals, which will take place in Malaga in November.
