Shamsunnahar (Bangladesh Police) Biography, Wiki, Career, Age, Family, Pic, Phone Number & More. Shamsunnahar is the first woman police officer to lead the police parade in Bangladesh. She served as Chandpur District Superintendent of Police (2015-2018). She is currently serving as a United Nations peacekeeping mission in Italy.

Shamsunnahar received the United Nations Peace Medal seven times (2009-2014) for serving in the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission, the President’s Police Medal for serving her country (2018), the Women’s Police Medal as a brave woman police officer (2018) and the IG Badge twice. Shamsunnahar Police Officer Biography

Shamsunnahar passed SSC from Faridpur Government Girls High School and HSC from Sarada Government Sundari Mahila College. He was admitted to Dhaka University in 1991. From here she received BSS honors from Political Science department in 1996 and MSS degree in 1998. After passing MPhil from the same university in 2005, he received an MBA degree from the University of Birmingham in the UK in 2007 with a scholarship. She obtained his PhD degree in 2021 by researching on “Reform of Human Resource Management System in Police Administration” in Bangladesh.

Enrolled in BNCC while staying in Rokeya Hall of Dhaka University. Then, as one of the top 10 cadets, Ryder got a chance to fly. Paraded, took up arms while at BNCC. After seeing the uniforms and rules of BNCC, he became interested in working in the police department. Police was his first choice in the BCS exam from that point of view. After passing 20th BCS, he joined Manikganj district as Assistant Superintendent of Police in 2001. Later he successfully served in different units of Bangladesh Police including Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Police Headquarters, Tourist Police. He is serving as Superintendent of Police of Chandpur District from 15 October 2015 to 2018 and Superintendent of Police of Gazipur District from 26 August 2018.

SP Shamsunnahar Work For Bangladesh Police

Shamsunnahar PPM joined as new SP of Gazipur district on Sunday. She is the second woman SP of Gazipur. Former SP of the district Mohammad Haroon Or Rashid bid farewell to join as Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan. SP Shamsunnahar joined Bangladesh Police Service in 2001 as Assistant SP. She has held various duties in Manikganj, Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Police Headquarters, Tourist Police and various police units of Bangladesh Police.

She also worked for the human resource development of the East Timor National Police through the United Nations Mission from 2009-2010. Shamsunnahar was a high ranking official in Italy under the United Nations in 2011-2014 for his excellence. She has been awarded seven times by the United Nations. She received the ‘Women Leadership Ward’ in 2016.
