And is scheduled to take place in New Zealand in March and April 2022. It was originally scheduled for February 6 to March 7, 2021.  But was postponed for one year due to the COVID-19 epidemic. On 15 December 2020, the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed that the tournament would be held from 4 March to 3 April 2022.

New Zealand automatically qualifies as the host. Originally, it was announced that three more teams would qualify from the 2017-20 ICC Women’s Championship. But in 2018 it was changed between the four teams and the hosts. The top three teams in the ten-team qualifiers will also play in this edition of the Women’s World Cup. However, on 12 May 2020, the ICC confirmed that the qualifier tournament had been postponed due to the COVID-19 epidemic. In August 2020, the ICC confirmed that the qualifier tournament would be held in 2021.

Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022 Venue & Stadium

On 11 March 2020, the ICC announced six venues for the 2022 Women’s World Cup. The final will be held at Hagley Oval. The other five venues used for the league stage and semifinals are Eden Park, Sedan Park, Bay Oval, University Oval and Basin Reserve.

Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022 Matches

A total of 31 matches will be played, including the semifinals and a final, all matches will be broadcast live. The opening match will be played at Eden Park in Auckland. The two semifinals will be played at Sedan Park, Hamilton and Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui, with the final at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. However, on 15 December 2020, the ICC announced that the opening match would be played at Bay Oval and the two semifinals at Hagley Oval and Basin Reserve.

On 11 March 2020 it was announced that in the group stage, eight teams would participate in a single-league format and each team would play the other once. This format was last used in the 2017 tournament. After the league matches, the top four teams will meet the winners in the final to advance to the semifinals. Therefore, a total of 31 matches will be held in the 29-day tournament. In December 2020, the ICC announced the full match schedule for the tournament.
