Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2022 Match Schedule & Fixtures Bangladesh & India Time. The Sri Lankan Premier League (LPL) 2022 kicks off on December 5 at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, with last year’s finalists Gale Gladiators facing Jaffna Kings in the opening match. The first round of the 20-match tournament will be held at the Premadasa Stadium. Similarly, the rest of the round will be held at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota.

Similar to the Indian Premier League (IPL), the tournament format of the LPL has changed with the inclusion of Eliminator. The top two teams will face each other in Qualifier 1, while the third and fourth teams will face each other in the eliminator. The winner of Qualifier 1 will advance directly to the final. Where the loser of Qualifier 1 will play the winner of Eliminator in Qualifier 2. The league final will be played on December 23, 2022 at MRICS, Hambantota, where this year’s tournament features December 24 as a ‘reserve day’ dedicated to the final. The Lanka Premier League 2022. The 2022 Lanka Premier League (LPLT20) is the second edition of the Sri Lanka Premier League (LPL) T20 franchise cricket tournament in Sri Lanka. It is scheduled to be held between 5 and 23 December 2022 There were plans to increase the number of teams from five to six, but Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has confirmed that five teams will take part in the first tournament. Originally, the tournament was scheduled to take place between July 30 and August 22, 2022. On 9 July 2022, due to unavailability of foreign players, the tournament was rescheduled to be held from 19 November to 12 December 2022. The Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2022 will start on 5 December RPICS, Colombo. The opening match will be played between Gaul and Jaffna.
